Directions - By Foot from Base

To visit Victory Villa from on Base, take a Base shuttle to the Rota Gate. As you walk South out the main gate, you will see a taxi stand on your left. Behind the taxi stand is a soccer court.  Turn left just past the taxi stand, then pass the soccer court and follow this road East all the way down the base fence line along side the park towards the dead-end. As you approach the dead-end you will see a 2-3 acre wooded property on your right with a white Villa set off a ways from the road almost hidden among the trees. This is Victory Villa. An archway marks the driveway entrance, #22 on Avenida Crucero Baleares:

If the gate is locked or no one seems to be home, call us at 956-81-0226 or 667-54-7501 or 645-07-0417.  If the gate is unlocked, you can just come on down to the house.  We have dogs on the property, but they are very friendly, and will allow you to come down the driveway to our main entrance which faces the water.  The beach is public below the Villa, and our property at the top of the cliff is private, but open to our guests.   Please keep the gates to the property closed to help keep the dogs in and any visiting small children safe. We often have little children visiting who could wander away or down the cliff if the gates are left open and unattended.

Directions - By Car from Base

The directions above apply if your driving out to the Villa from on Base except for one important difference--in order to get onto our street you must first go all the way around the two traffic circles that are just outside the gate.  As you head back towards the gate, you will take your last right before entering the parking lots outside the gate, which is Avenida Crucero Baleares (Old Taxi Road).  Follow this road all the way down parallel to the base fence line to the dead-end. As you approach the dead-end you will see a 2-3 acre wooded property on your right with a white Villa set off a ways from the road almost hidden among the trees. This is Victory Villa. An archway marks the driveway entrance, #22 on Avenida Crucero Baleares.  You can open the gate if it is unlocked, and you are welcome to park anywhere along the sides of the gravel driveway that runs down to the Villa.  Just be sure to close the gate behind you and help keep our dogs inside!  Thanks.

Directions - To Rota from the U.S. (or other points abroad)

If you come to Spain as a tourist and would like to visit us in Rota, please call us first to make sure we can accommodate your visit. The nearest airport is Jerez (pronounced hey-reth) de La Frontera, a small city about 40 minutes drive from Rota. An acceptable alternate airport is Sevilla (2 hrs, from Rota by car). If you live in Europe and will be driving to Rota, take E-5/A-4 South from Seville toward Cádiz. Exit at Jerez and use N-IV South. Watch for signs to Rota. From Málaga and other Spanish points East including Gibraltar, take C-340 toward Cádiz, then follow signs to El Puerto de Santa Maria, then signs to Rota. If you are retired military, you can use space available flights from Norfolk, VA and Dover, DE to fly directly to Rota, but remember that retirees have limited base access and cannot use the Commissary or Exchange facilities on base. If you are on active duty or in the reserves from another base, you can only access the base if you have orders to Naval Station Rota, Spain. Some commands will provide no-cost or permissive travel orders for this purpose. See the Naval Station Rota web site for more information.
